-New in 2010
  • What has been known as Lowes Motor Speedway for years will now be back to it's original name in 2010, Charlotte Motor Speedway. Lowes did not sign to sponsor the track after the 2009 season.
  • Nationwide Series will have a new race this year as they head to Road America. Its another road coarse to add to their schedule. They now race at Mexico, Canada, Road America, & Watkins Glen.
  • Danica Patrick will make her debut in NASCAR in 2010 in the Nationwide Series. She is only running a limited schedule but if all goes well expect her to be full-time in 2011, and then moving to HMS Sprint Cup Team in 2012 or 2013 when Mark Martin retires.
  • Brad Kesolowski will now be with Penske Racing in 2010, running full-time Cup and Nationwide schedules.
  • Kelloggs & Cheez It sponsors have moved over to Carl Edwards & the #99 team in 2010. You will notice his new colors at many races while Mark Martin will be in the new GoDaddy.com colors at Hendrick Motorsports.
  • NEW SET START TIMES FOR 2010 Cup Series races. All East Coast races will start shortly after 1:00PM while west coast races will start shortly after 3:00PM. All night events will start shortly after 7:30PM. The only exception is the Coca Cola 600 in May will start at 5:45PM.

  • We have a new set of requirements to make the field for the Bud Shootout this season. They changed it for the 2nd year in a row. Read all about it on the homepage.
  • Steve Addington named crew chief of Kurt Busch #2 Miller Lite team
  • Danica Patrick gets her first laps in a stock car during ARCA testing at Daytona. Her Nationwide Series debut will most likely be the 2nd race at Auto Club but possibly as soon as Daytona.
  • Looks like the Sprint Cup ROTY will be given to the only possible rookie in 2010. As of now it looks like the only rookie will be Kevin Conway in the #37 with Front Row Motorsports. Travis Kvapil will also be in this team with a full-time ride in the #34, sponsorship is not known for the #34 yet.
  • RCR will try to keep 4 teams in 2010, they will start with all 4 and Casey Mears still driving the #07 at Daytona but it will depend on sponsorship if they continue all season long.
  • Looks like the #66 team will try to run full-time with possibly Dave Blaney and Michael Waltrip splitting the races, NAPA may help out with the sponsorship especially for Waltrip.
